INAUGURAL WATERMELON JAM ACOUSTIC SESSION

POTWIN, KS: The Potwin Parks and Recreation Commission invites the public and all acoustic musicians to the inaugural Watermelon Jam Acoustic Session. It will be held in the upstairs of the historical Potwin Community House, 201 N. Randall, on Sunday, September 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Attendance is free.
For the past two years, the Potwin Watermelon Festival has hosted the Potwin Watermelon Bluegrass Festival in conjunction with other festivities that day. The reception to the music has generated requests from the public for more frequent musical offerings in the gorgeous historic building. Those requests have led local musicians to provide such a platform.
Acoustic musicians of all ages and skills are invited to join. A mic and amp will be set up for those wanting to perform one or two songs while others in the group join in the “jam.”
The public is invited to attend free of charge and watermelons (or watermelon themed goodies) will be provided.
